Look of the Week!
Wow! I am so thrilled to find out that I was featured in this week's "Looks of the Week" at Fabsugar.com. Thanks FabSugar, you made my day :)
Date Night
Mother-in-law was so nice to babysit Kaitlyn on Saturday night while hubby and I went out for a date. What seems like an almost-routine activity pre-Kaitlyn is now what we call luxury. Ever since Kaitlyn was born, hubby and I only went out for dates twice. Yes, only twice in five months. I am not complaining though as I love my daughter to pieces, but it would be nicer if hubby and I could spend more alone time together.

We tried out this new restaurant in Richmond (sorry I forgot the name of the restaurant) that specializes in "crossing-bridge noodles" (過橋米綫 in Chinese). It was pretty good and we are definitely going back next time.

Summer Essential: Straw Chic
When it comes to accessories in the summer, nothing is like my trusty straw tote. The woven material and the natural color palette together create an overall laid-back look for the weekend and the beach.
1. Kate Spade Cherry Valley Adeline $325 (also available in green)
2. Kate Spade Hello Sunshine Willow $193 (on sale)
3. Lily Pulitzer Docksider Tote $148
Really adore the striped Lily Pulitzer Docksier Tote above, such a cute color combination. Also, check out this cool Kate Spade I Need a Vacation tote, seriously, I do need a vacation right now (get the hint hubby?)
I am also liking the straw clutch trend for this season. You can easily go from a day to night look when pairing the straw clutch with a bold pattern summer dress.
1. Aldo Rowbotham $40 (I think I will get this one, the bow in the front is just too cute)
3. Kate Spade Cherry Valley Kyra $245
Whether lounging on the beach or strolling in the park, you can't go wrong with a straw floppy hat for the summer. Not only it is a stylish accessory, but it also protects your face from the sun.
2. ASOS Brixton Alana Floppy Straw Hat $138.49
3. Aqua Raffia Floppy Hat with Large Brim and Ribbon $65.80 (on sale)
5. Miss Sixty Tsuiroad Hat $59
Every girl including myself wants to have sun-kissed skin for the summer, but baking under the sun for hours to get the tan is not a wise thing to do anymore. Came across this very useful article on Easy Steps for a Flawless Self-tan at Beautylish. Thank goodness for easy to use self-tanners, we all can have a sun-kissed glow without damaging our skins.
Happy Friday & Have a Good Weekend

Vintage Finds - Chanel
Sorry for the lack of update. My 5 months old has been keeping me busy all the time lol. Anyway, I love vintage Chanel purses. They are so timeless, classy and well-made. Last week I saw this beauty on Ebay at a great price. Its mint condition and unique style was too good to pass on. So I placed my bid and the seller was so nice to end the auction early for me and even included free EMS shipping. YAY.
I received the package this morning, and when I saw the purse in person, I was even more elated. The lambskin leather is still so supple and smooth to the touch. The gold hardware is still shiny and with minimal scratches. And best of all, I am loving the size of this bag. Unlike my other classic flaps, I always have a hard time fitting everything into them, but with this purse, I have no problem. The bag is so roomy and it has 4 pockets outside which it's perfect for cell phones and keys...etc. It is such a practical bag to carry around everyday. You will probably be seeing a lot of this beauty in my future outfit posts :)
I am usually extremely cautious when it comes to purchasing vintage designer bags online. One way to ensure they are authentic is to purchase from reputable resellers that have 100% positive feedbacks or online stores that have a proven record of selling authentic goods such as Yoogi's Closet, Malleries, Fashionphile. There are more resources available here on the Purse Forum. I never made any purchase at Malleries or Fashionphile, but I have experience with Yoogi's Closet. They have great customer service and their prices are pretty reasonable. Another way to check for authenticity is to have the purses authenticated at the Purse Forum. The ladies there are so helpful and knowledgeable.
