Maximized

Being 5'2 does not stop me from wearing maxis. In fact, they are one of my favourite ensembles in the summer. So airy and light, perfect for the heat.

Vintage Finds - Chanel Earrings

Ever since I got my vintage Chanel bag (see here), I have become so fond of vintage stuffs. Lately, I've been doing lots of vintage shopping at my local thrift stores. One thing about vintage shopping that I like the most is surprises. You'll never know what's in store and when you score some hidden gems, it's like hitting the jackpot.  One of the highlights of my recent vintage purchases got to be this pair of vintage Chanel earrings. As I was browsing the earrings section, I spotted this pair of gold earrings that have the CC logo. Instinct tells me that these can't be authentic Chanel. Out of curiosity, I grabbed the earrings and took at look at the back and it read "(c) Chanel (r) Made in France". I literately squealed when I saw the stamp at the back and I was like OMG these are authentic Chanel earrings. I further inspected them and saw very few scratches that are hardly noticeable. Frankly, these earrings are quite heavy, and I do not know how or when I am going to wear them; but for the price I paid, I would be very stupid if I didn't buy them.

Vintage Finds - Chanel

Sorry for the lack of update. My 5 months old has been keeping me busy all the time lol. Anyway, I love vintage Chanel purses. They are so timeless, classy and well-made. Last week I saw this beauty on Ebay at a great price. Its mint condition and unique style was too good to pass on. So I placed my bid and the seller was so nice to end the auction early for me and even included free EMS shipping. YAY.

I received the package this morning,  and when I saw the purse in person, I was even more elated. The lambskin leather is still so supple and smooth to the touch. The gold hardware is still shiny and with minimal scratches. And best of all, I am loving the size of this bag. Unlike my other classic flaps, I always have a hard time fitting everything into them, but with this purse, I have no problem. The bag is so roomy and it has 4 pockets outside which it's perfect for cell phones and keys...etc. It is such a practical bag to carry around everyday. You will probably be seeing a lot of this beauty in my future outfit posts :)

I am usually extremely cautious when it comes to purchasing vintage designer bags online. One way to ensure they are authentic is to purchase from reputable resellers that have 100% positive feedbacks or online stores that have a proven record of selling authentic goods such as Yoogi's Closet, Malleries, Fashionphile. There are more resources available here on the Purse Forum. I never made any purchase at Malleries or Fashionphile, but I have experience with Yoogi's Closet. They have great customer service and their prices are pretty reasonable.  Another way to check for authenticity is to have the purses authenticated at the Purse Forum. The ladies there are so helpful and knowledgeable.
